How it started
Simba, Po, and Clove are the real reason BoopDesk exists.
In 2026, founder Russ took a three-week international vacation with his family. Simba, Po, and Clove — their three beloved pets — stayed home with a sitter. Updates were occasional at best, leaving the family halfway across the world wondering if their animals were okay.
That experience made something click. It wasn't that the sitter didn't care. It was that the back-office work — onboarding new clients, writing visit updates, chasing invoices, following up with lapsed clients — was quietly killing the joy out of a job people got into because they love animals.
Every feature in BoopDesk is built so no pet owner spends three weeks abroad wondering if their animals are okay — and no good sitter loses a client because they ran out of time to write a proper update.
The name? “Boop” — the universal language of pets. “Desk” — the admin work that should disappear. BoopDesk was built to give independent pet sitters the same AI-powered back-office that enterprise companies pay hundreds of thousands for.
