Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BoopDesk (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including pet sitters (“Sitters”) and their clients (“Clients”) who access the client portal.
2. Description of Service
BoopDesk is a subscription-based SaaS platform that helps independent pet sitters manage clients, bookings, visits, invoices, and client communications. The Service uses artificial intelligence to draft visit updates, handle SMS booking inquiries, and automate back-office tasks on behalf of Sitters. All AI-generated content is reviewed and approved by the Sitter before delivery to Clients unless the Sitter has explicitly enabled auto-send.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. BoopDesk uses magic-link email authentication — you must have access to the email address associated with your account. You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service under your credentials.
4. Subscription and Payment
BoopDesk is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Billing is processed through Stripe. You authorize BoopDesk to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate corresponding to your chosen plan. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to send spam, harassing, or unlawful communications. You agree not to reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the Service in an automated manner. You agree not to use the Service to process payments outside of the integrated Stripe payment flow in a way that violates applicable law. SMS communications sent through BoopDesk must comply with TCPA regulations, including obtaining proper consent from recipients. You are solely responsible for obtaining valid prior express written consent from your clients before sending them SMS communications through BoopDesk. BoopDesk provides the technical mechanism for consent capture via the client intake form, but it is your obligation to ensure all recipients have actively opted in before any messages are sent.
6. AI-Generated Content
BoopDesk uses Claude (Anthropic) and OpenAI Whisper to generate visit updates, booking responses, and other content. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors and that you are responsible for reviewing content before sending it to your clients. BoopDesk is not liable for any consequences arising from AI-generated content that was not reviewed before delivery.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You retain ownership of your client and business data. By using the Service, you grant BoopDesk a limited license to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
8. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. BoopDesk reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, during which you may request an export.
9. Limitation of Liability
BoopDesk is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, BoopDesk disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to BoopDesk in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
BoopDesk may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. SMS Messaging
By providing a phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on the client intake form, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from your pet sitter via BoopDesk. These messages may include visit updates, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and invoice notifications. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase or service. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply. BoopDesk operates as the messaging platform; your pet sitter is the sender of record for all SMS communications sent through the Service.
